Security window screens and emergency exits

Crimsafe has a flexible range of installation methods to suit any size or type of window, including fixed, hinged, casement-style, sliding windows or louvres.

Fixed window screens

Crimsafe fixed panel windows are non-moving panels that can be face-fitted, reveal-fitted using our angled frame, or fitted in the fly screen track of the window.

Fixed window security screens are often the best option for securing louvres or sash windows, provided these windows do not form part of an emergency exit procedure.

The Safe-S-Cape® emergency exit system cannot be applied to fixed window security screens, as there are no moving parts.

Hinged window screens

Crimsafe hinged window screens are hinged along their sides or top to swing outward or inward.

Hinged windows are ideal for single and multi-panel sliding windows, double hung windows, single and multiple hoppers, casement windows, louvres, and fixed and sliding combinations.

Sliding window screens

Crimsafe sliding window security screens can be single, double or triple sliding.

Single sliding window screens are great for tight window fittings where separate window tracks can’t be fitted, or for servery windows where you need to reach an outdoor entertaining area easily. The security screen slides within a single track and can be fitted in two ways: with the moving panel sliding from the side with the locking position on the jambs, or with the locking position in the centre and panels sliding apart to the left and right.

Double and triple-sliding security screens are a system of two or three sliding panels that slide within two tracks. When closed, the overlapping Crimsafe panels reinforce each other via an interlock, forming a strong and secure barrier. They can be installed on the inside or outside of sliding windows, or the inside of casement windows.

Emergency exit window security screens

Crimsafe has designed Safe-S-Capes®, a keyless emergency exit system that secures your windows against intruders, but still allows you to get out quickly and easily if you need to.

Safe-S-Capes can be hinged or sliding, making them suitable to fit hinged, sash or sliding windows.

The one-touch release system ensures your fast escape, without compromising the exceptionally strong security that Crimsafe is known for.

Thicker, stronger mesh

Our specially developed Crimsafe Tensile-Tuff® mesh uses 0.9mm 304 structural-grade stainless steel.

This means that our woven mesh is up to 26.5% thicker than most other mesh products on the market that use 0.8mm wire.

Crimsafe screens are harder to cut and penetrate, keeping out all unwelcome guests, from burglars to bugs.

Unique fastening system

We use Crimsafe’s exclusive Screw-Clamp^TM system to secure Tensile-Tuff ® mesh to the frames, giving our security screens their exceptional strength.

These tamper-resistant screws and metal clamps hold the mesh in a ‘vice-like’ grip in the frame, giving our screens their incredible strength. It is this patented system that allows them to withstand tremendous force by absorbing and dispersing impact, strongly resisting being pulled out of the frame.

Crimsafe Ultimate’s protective cover
