Crimsafe’s unique Screw-Clamp™ bites down on the mesh, holding it into the frame, which is then secured by tamper-resistant stainless-steel screws. This vice-like grip is what gives Crimsafe its incredible strength and its ability to withstand tremendous force by absorbing and dispersing impact.
Unlike other products that use a plastic wedge or glue to hold the mesh in place, Crimsafe’s Screw-Clamp™ transfers the force of an impact around the frame, so the mesh remains intact, allowing the entire frame to withstand enormous impact. Crimsafe is the only security screen to incorporate Screw-Clamp technology, giving it unrivalled resistance to attack.
The Screw-Clamp™ technology, which is often considered the superior mesh retention system, differs from plastic wedging systems which only localise the impact or PVC wedging systems that expand and contract, thus making its ‘grip’ within the frame weaker over time.
Only Crimsafe mesh features specially developed 0.9mm 304 structural-grade wire strands which are woven together in such a rigid way that each strand supports the others around it.
The mesh is insulated by Santoprene rubber, a component so revolutionary that it has a separate patent. Santoprene rubber insulation reduces water penetration and salt build-up in harsh environments and eliminates galvanic corrosion of the different metals – meaning a very long life for your screens. Santoprene also does not degrade after prolonged exposure to ultraviolet light (sunlight).
